Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-13
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of Leivar (the "Service"). It applies to every user, agent, and integration that submits, generates, schedules, or publishes content through Leivar. By using the Service you agree to this AUP. Violation may result in content removal, account suspension, account termination, and — where required by law — referral to authorities.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not use Leivar to create, schedule, publish, or distribute content that:
- Sexually exploits or endangers children (CSAM). Reports of CSAM are prioritised and may be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) per 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions.
- Incites or promotes violence against individuals or groups, including based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected class.
- Threatens, harasses, doxxes, or stalks any person.
- Constitutes hate speech, including slurs and dehumanising language directed at protected classes.
- Promotes or provides instructions for terrorism, weapons of mass destruction (biological, chemical, nuclear, radiological), or large-scale violence.
- Promotes or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide.
- Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights you do not own or have permission to use.
- Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misrepresents identity, sponsorship, or affiliation in ways that cause harm.
- Distributes malware, phishing pages, or other malicious code.
- Violates applicable law in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction where the content is published.
3. Prohibited AI-Specific Uses
Leivar generates AI content. The following AI-specific uses are prohibited:
- Voice cloning of any person without that person's documented consent. Self-clones require the audio-consent process described in our Voice Cloning Terms. Cloning the voice of a third party — including public figures, friends, family, employers, or fictional characters voiced by real actors — without their explicit written permission is prohibited.
- Face swapping or likeness reuse without the depicted person's consent. Including but not limited to deepfake imagery, non-consensual intimate imagery, and "putting a real person in" a video or image they did not authorise.
- Deepfakes of public figures intended to deceive viewers about what that person said or did. Clearly labelled satire and parody that a reasonable viewer would not mistake for genuine speech is permitted; intentionally deceptive deepfakes are not.
- AI-generated misinformation about elections, public health, financial markets, or scientific consensus. Including coordinated inauthentic behaviour, AI-generated fake reviews, AI-generated sock puppet accounts, and AI-generated content designed to manipulate political processes.
- Undisclosed AI involvement in sponsored content. Per the FTC's endorsement rules and equivalent rules in your jurisdiction, sponsored content created with AI must disclose both the sponsorship and the AI involvement.
4. Multi-Region Publishing
Leivar supports publishing to platforms across multiple regions. You are responsible for ensuring content complies with each region's laws, including but not limited to:
- The European Union's Digital Services Act (DSA) and AI Act
- The United Kingdom's Online Safety Act
- India's IT Rules 2021 and amendments
- Singapore's POFMA
- Australia's eSafety Online Safety Act
- China's deep synthesis regulations (where applicable)
- US state laws regarding deepfakes, voice cloning, and right of publicity (California Civil Code § 3344.1, Tennessee ELVIS Act, New York Civil Rights Law § 50-f, and equivalents)
Leivar may region-restrict, label, or refuse to publish content that appears to violate region-specific law, regardless of the laws of the user's home jurisdiction.
5. Reporting
If you believe content on Leivar violates this AUP, report it via the form at /legal/report. Anonymous reports are accepted. CSAM reports are prioritised; voice-clone-misuse, deepfake, and face-swap reports are reviewed within a reasonable time.
6. Consequences
Depending on severity and recurrence, Leivar may:
- Remove the offending content
- Issue a warning and require acknowledgement before further publishing
- Suspend the account temporarily
- Terminate the account permanently
- Refer the matter to law enforcement (mandatory for CSAM; discretionary for other criminal conduct)
- Preserve evidence and cooperate with valid legal process
Repeat offenders are subject to permanent termination on a first offence basis for the most serious categories (Section 2, Section 3 voice/face/deepfake categories).
7. Appeals
If your content is removed or your account is actioned, you may appeal by replying to the action notification email within 30 days. Appeals are reviewed by a human operator.
8. Changes
We may update this AUP. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days before they take effect, except where a change is required by law or to address an imminent risk, in which case it takes effect immediately and we will explain why.
